Meet Kobus Du Plessis

CSM Owner & Engineer

Over the span of his career, he has designed many custom solutions to all kinds of Production and Operational challenges with very Innovative and Practical solutions. He has excellent Project Management skills and excel at putting the correct Team together for each challenging Project.

During his career he also spend time in the Corporate World wearing multiple hats that honed and expanded his skills. He has a very simplistic approach to solve any problem in the modern manufacturing world with innovative solutions that will turn the investment into a profitable solution for all his clients.

Kobus attended the South African Military Academy and completed his active full-time service as a Permanent Force officer in the South African Defense force. He and his Company were deployed on active duty on the Northen border of South Africa during the peak of terrorist infiltration.

After his military service, Kobus attended one of the best Engineering Universities (University of Pretoria, South Africa) to complete a 4-year BSc Engineering (Mech.) degree.

Kobus enjoys the outdoors and actively work the 10 acres that he and his wife owns, doing Landscaping and Gardening

Kobus is a South African native transplant that moved his family to the USA in 1994. He is the Owner of CSM Technical that provides Technical Business and Engineering services to a wide range of Industry. Kobus is a graduated Mechanical Engineer and also registered as a Professional Engineer (SA) with over 40 years of practical Engineering experience. He has been actively involved in large and small equipment and systems from the Mining Industry, Dairy and Food Industry, Specialized Custom Equipment (Design – Build - Commissioned) and Automated Warehousing systems.
